Join the Early Access List! FINIS Teases Shape-Shifting Swim Innovation
Join the Early Access List: Breakthrough Innovation set for mid-June Launch
FINIS has spent more than 30 years rethinking how swimmers train, feel the water and use equipment to improve.
From the Monofin and Original Swimmer’s Snorkel to Tempo Trainer, Zoomers, Smart Goggles and Manta Paddles, Founder John Mix has built its reputation around taking familiar swim tools and finding a better way to make them really useful.
This June, FINIS is preparing to introduce something totally new.
During a recent closed session, several international swimmers got an early look at what FINIS believes could be the next evolution in training. Reactions among elite coaches and Olympians point to something completely different: a training experience built around alignment, feel and a more natural connection to the water.
A Familiar Pattern for FINIS
Training tools matter because they shape how swimmers move.
FINIS has long operated in that space. The Original Swimmer’s Snorkel helped athletes focus on body position and stroke rhythm without turning the head to breathe. Tempo Trainer brought pacing and stroke-rate work into the water. Agility Paddles removed the strap and forced swimmers to apply pressure correctly. Smart Goggles moved workout feedback directly into the swimmer’s field of vision.
The common thread is clear: FINIS’ best products are not just training equipment. They’re tools designed to help swimmers understand movement, speed, timing and feel.

Something New Is Coming to the Water
A recent teaser campaign provided clues without giving everything away.
The campaign has offered more than a simple product silhouette. Social Media has been flooded with teasers.
Visuals point to anatomy, water movement, flexible materials, mold-making and 3D prototyping.
Teasers use jellyfish movement, X-ray imagery and anatomy to suggest a product inspired by how the body moves through water.
Liquid compounds are poured, mixed and shaped in what appears to be a lab setting tied to product-development work.
A full product story will be coming to Swimming World readers mid-June launch. Early reaction from closed sessions, combined with FINIS’ history of innovation, makes this highly anticipated launch worth following.
For now, everything is being kept under wraps.
