After all was said and done last week at the United States Aquatics Sports Convention, the 3 thousand dollar increase in the annual stipend for post grad swimmers appeared to be the only small step made towards athlete funding. However, a recent memo from USA Swimming Executive Director indicates that the plan is far from dead and will be resubmitted to the United States Olympic Committee sometime in the near future. To update us on that, as well as give us the USA Swimming perspective on all the developments surrounding last week’s convention, we talked with the Vice President for Athletes on the Board of Directors, Tyler Storie.
