July 17, 2013: After two days of interviewing swim coaches on opposite sides of the United States, we wanted today's edition of The Morning Swim Show to feature a coach who’s doing well in the American heartland. Host Jeff Commings talks with Louie Balogh, the head coach of Lincoln Select Swimming, on today’s show. Balogh is going on 30 years of coaching – with a couple of brief hiatuses thrown in – and he talks about what has made the team in Lincoln so successful to the point of winning seven straight state championships and training a national age group record holder. Balogh also details his history in the sport, and how his “old school” coaching philosophy works through all levels of the program.
