PHOENIX, Arizona, March 22. THE National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) held their convention last weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The highlight of the convention was the Awards Banquet where seven high school coaches were honored.
SwimmingWorld.TV was there to meet the honorees. Robert Bright, Dave Perry, Mike Keevan, Pete Williams and Tom Haight all received Outstanding Service Awards. George Haines was posthumously awarded NISCA Hall of Fame Award. Glenn Kaye was awarded the NISCA highest honor by receiving the Collegiate-Scholastic Trophy for most significant contribution to the sport of swimming over the past year.

In other NISCA news, President-Elect Lanny Landtroop of Texas assumed the office of President for 2007-2009 upon the term expiration of 2005-2007 President Mark Onstott of Illinois, who will serve as Past-President for 2007-2009.
2003-2005 NISCA President (and current Marketing chair) Dana Abbott of Texas was elected again as President-Elect for 2007-2009, and for the term of President in 2009-2011.
NISCA Treasurer/Membership chair Tom Wojslawowicz of New Jersey was re-elected for 2007-2009 and the New Coaches Education Chair is Mel Roberts of Utah.
All other committee chairs were re-appointed to serve for 2007-2008.
