SANTA CLARA, California, June 23. DESPITE routing the field on the breaststroke leg of his 400 IM at the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara, Chase Kalisz wasn’t thrilled with that stroke in the race, saying in this video interview that he was more pleased with his butterfly and backstroke.
Kalisz said rest will be key to making sure all four of his strokes are in line to reach the 400 IM goals he has for this summer, and like most swimmers at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, he’s putting all his trust in coach Bob Bowman to make sure the preparation is on track.
