(VIDEO INTERVIEW) Blake Pieroni Recaps World Cup Experience at Golden Goggles
Blake Pieroni chatted with Swimming World about his World Cup experience racing overseas for a few months on the professional circuit. Pieroni also told us what the best food he ate was while on the trip and what he was able to learn over the World Cup circuit.
Pieroni put up some impressive swims on the World Cup circuit as he nearly broke Ryan Lochte’s American Record in the 200 free for SCM, and also briefly held the World Cup record in the 100 free before it was taken back by Vladimir Morozov.
Pieroni learned a lot on the World Cup circuit and encouraged other swimmers to take part in it. He is currently in his first full year of postgrad swimming at Indiana University, where he led the team to its first top four finish and first relay NCAA title since 1977.
