MISSION VIEJO, California, June 13. THE final evening of the TYR Swim Meet of Champions came to a close with a pair of long course meter facility and meet records falling by the wayside.

Trojan's Katinka Hosszu blazed to her second pool and meet record of the weekend with a sterling time of 2:13.52. That swim wiped out the pool and meet records reportedly shared by Tracy Caulkins and Natalie Wiegersma of 2:14.16s. Hosszu's teammate Lyndsay De Paul finished second in 2:16.21, while Toronto's Stephanie Horner grabbed third in 2:18.89.

FAST's Tyler Clary joined Hosszu for the second straight night in downing a pool and meet record in an IM event. Clary raced to 2:01.37 in the men's 200 IM, smashing Jiro Miki's 2:02.63 set in 2005. Toronto's Tobias Oriwol finished second in 2:05.45, while Minnesota's Alex Wold claimed third in 2:07.16.

Mission Viejo's Chad La Tourette won the men's 800 free with a time of 8:02.34. That performance moved him up to 22nd in the world, ahead of Mateusz Sawrymowicz' 8:02.45 from earlier this month. Nashville's Jackson Wilcox grabbed second in 8:09.58, while teammate Dakota Hodgson snatched third in 8:10.44 out of an earlier heat.

De Paul cleared 1:00 to capture the women's 100 fly in 59.56. North Coast's Tanya Krisman claimed second in 1:00.97, while Swim Pasadena's Yumi So completed the top three in 1:01.90.

Trojan went back-to-back with a win in the men's 100 fly when Octavio Alesi surfaced from a close contest in 54.06. Bobby Bollier, swimming unattached, nearly tracked Alesi down with a 27.31 final 50 meters, but settled for second in 54.14. Clary, showing some serious wear from a tough meet, took third in 54.96.

Mission Viejo's Chloe Sutton turned on the afterburners in the final 200 meters of the women's 1500 free to earn her fourth individual freestyle title of the meet. She turned in a 16:35.87 for the win. Toronto's Zsofi Balazs placed second in 16:41.57 after hanging with Sutton through 1300 meters. Sierra Marlins' Haley Anderson snagged third overall in 16:46.17.

A third event title went to Trojan with Joan Christel Simms taking the women's 100 back in 1:03.96, while Toronto's Andrea Jurenovskis placed second in 1:04.19. Laval's Genevieve Cantin completed the top three in 1:04.50. West Coast's Cindy Tran also cleared 1:05 with a fourth-place 1:04.92.

Clary bounced back from a third-place finish in the men's 100 fly with a scorching fast time of 55.61 in the men's 100 back. That time just missed Peter Marshall's pool and meet record of 55.09 set in 2008. Toronto's Tobias Oriwol and Waves' Jiheun Kim tied for second with matching 56.60s.

Minnesota's Jillian Tyler won the women's 100 breast in 1:10.75. Waves' Melissa Bates held off Alberta's Kayla Voytechek for second, 1:11.71 to 1:11.83. Toronto's Warren Barnes cruised to victory in the men's 100 breast with a time of 1:03.33. Korea's Myunghwan Kim placed second in 1:04.49, while Toronto's Marco Monaco finished third in 1:05.36.

In relay action, Olympian's Paige Kremer, Natasha Fung, Lori Layne Kremer and Shaneese Nowlan won the women's 400 medley relay in 4:25.85. Toronto's Oriwol, Barnes, Andy Townsend and Cam Cummings topped the men's 400 medley relay in 3:57.23.
