Two-Time Florida State Champ Charlotte Driesse Chooses Kentucky

NEW COMMIT: The University of Kentucky has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Charlotte Driesse of St. John’s, Florida.

She will join Cassidy Allison in Lexington as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Kentucky!!! Huge shoutout to God, my amazing family, friends, and coaches for all of their continuous support. I also want to thank all the coaches over at UK for this opportunity. GO WILDCATS!!”

Driesse does her club swimming with Loggerhead Aquatics and last competed at the Florida Spring Championships where placed sixth in both the 200 fly and 200 IM. She fourth in the 400m IM and fifth in the 200m IM at Southern Zone Seniors back in February.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:49.81
  • 500 free – 4:53.22
  • 100 fly – 55.17
  • 200 fly – 2:02.95
  • 200 IM – 2:02.72
  • 400 IM – 4:24.09

Currently a junior at Nease High School, Driesse won the 200 IM and was the runner-up in the 200 free at the Florida 3A State Championships this past season. She took first in the 200 IM and third in the 100 free as a sophomore.
