Tampa Men Jump to No 1 in CSCAA Division II Top 25; Colorado Mesa Lead Women’s Poll

The University of Tampa jumped from third to first in the latest CSCAA Division II Top 25 men’s swimming poll, released Friday.

The College Swimming Coaches Association of American left Colorado Mesa at No. 1 in the women’s poll.

Tampa leapt from third to first with 245 points, displacing last month’s No. 1 team, Drury. The University of Indianapolis bumped up a spot to fourth, while Colorado Mesa fell to fourth with its 1-6 dual meet record this season (albeit mostly against Division I opposition).

Grand Valley, McKendree and Wingate held at fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, and Nova Southeastern moved up two spots to eighth. Drury, 10th-ranked Saint Cloud and No. 14 Ouachita Baptist are the only undefeated teams on the men’s side.

The 25 schools in the men’s and women’s polls both remain unchanged, Henderson State’s men’s team edging Davenport by a single point for the 25th spot on the men’s side.

For the women, the top 10 remain unchanged from last month. Despite its 3-6 record in dual meets, Colorado Mesa remains atop the heap with 248 points, edging UIndy by seven at the summit. Drury, Tampa and Nova Southeastern round out the top 10. Only six teams moved spots this month, none by more than one spot.
