Russia finished the meet with a medley relay sweep as the women crushed the World Junior record in the women’s 400-meter medley relay at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Irina Prikhodko, Mariia Astashkina, Polina Egorova and Mariia Kameneva raced their way to a sizzling 4:01.05.

That swim not only blasted the meet record of 4:40.48 set in 2013, it cut more than two seconds from the World Junior record of 4:03.22 set by Kameneva, Astashkina, Egorova and Arina Openysheva at the 2015 European Games in Baku this summer.

Australia’s Minna Atherton, Ella Bond, Gemma Cooney and Shayna Jack claimed silver in 4:02.42.

Japan’s Natsumi Sakai, Runa Imai, Rikako Ikee and Sachi Mochida picked up bronze in 4:03.10.

USA’s Claire Adams, Kennedy Lohman, Cassidy Bayer and Lauren Pitzer placed fourth in 4:03.90.
