Purdue Women’s Swimming Races Past Iowa

The Purdue University women’s swimming and diving team defeated Iowa 190-109 on Friday, Nov. 7.

The Boilermakers started with a 200 medley relay win as Abby Marcukaitis, Meghan Sharma, Lara Phipps and Hannah Hill got to the wall in 1:41.60.

Marcukaitis won the 100 backstroke in 54.31 and 2– back in 1:59.84. Sharma won the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.52.

Reagan Mattice won the 1000 free in 10:04.88 and 500 free in 4:57.98.

Caitlin Hurley won the 100 freestyle (50.71) 200 freestyle in 1:49.29. Campbell Scofield won the 200 fly in 2:02.19.

Purdue’s Daryn Wright won 3-meter diving with 356.25 points. Avery Worobel won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 321.75.

Iowa’s Payton Flowers won the 100 butterfly (55.4) and 50 freestyle in 23.20. Olivia Swalley won the 200 breaststroke in 2:19.75 and 400 IM in 4:20.58.

Flowers, Jenna Kerr, Rachel Dildine and Ella Jean Kelly won the 400 free relay in 3:24.73 to close the meet.
