Kylie Masse swept the women’s backstroke events at the Canadian Swimming Trials, nearly breaking the world record in the 100 back in the process, and then she joined Off Deck to recap her outstanding week.
Masse was the Olympic bronze medalist in the 100 back, but she cut almost a half-second off her time since Rio, and she even took down 200 back Olympic bronze medalist Hilary Caldwell to win that event in Victoria. Masse spoke on the show about what’s clicked for her over the past year and recalled her best memories from the Rio Olympics while looking forward to what might come at the World Championships this summer.
