NCSA Junior Nationals: Rachel Naurath Continues Monster Meet, Clay Youngquist Wins Another Title

ORLANDO, Florida, March 18. THE third day of action at the NCSA Junior Nationals featured Nova of Virginia's Rachel Naurath continue on her path towards an outstanding meet. SwimmingWorld.TV was on hand to capture all the action for a live pay-per-view audience.
Aquajets' Rachel Bootsma dominated the women's 50 fly in 24.07, while Academy Bullets' Olivia Scott finished second in 24.42. Issaquah's Kathryn Kinnear grabbed third in 24.46. Tucson Ford's Roger Miesfeld clocked a 21.49 to win the men's 50 fly. Summit's Douglas Reynolds (21.86) and Poseidon's Samuel Rairden (21.87) also cleared 22 seconds to round out the top three.
Rockville Montgomery's Sarah Haase topped the women's 50 breast in 28.10. Aquajets' Abigail Duncan touched second in 28.27, while Patriot's Emily Fogle snagged third in 28.33. Fox Valley's Kevin Cordes picked up the men's 50 breast title in 25.74. Curl Burke's Charles Katis earned second in 25.75, while Davie Nadadores' Nicholas Manousos earned third in 25.94.
Nova of Virginia's Rachel Naurath kept rolling with her fourth individual title of the meet when she hit the wall in 1:47.42 in the women's 200 free. First Colony's Madeline Locus took second in 1:48.18, while Rockville Montgomery's Elizabeth Pepper finished third in 1:48.62. Lakeview's Clay Youngquist topped his second event of the meet with a 1:35.34 in the men's 200 free. Jersey Wahoo Matthew Belecanech placed a distant second in 1:37.24, while Long Island's John Wagner finished third in 1:37.87.
Nova of Virginia won another women's title, this time when Rebecca Rainer clocked a 4:10.21 to top the women's 400 IM. Star's Courtney Otto pocketed second in 4:14.75, while Badger's Aja Van Hout wound up third in 4:15.01. Michigan Lakeshore's Eric Solis claimed the men's 400 IM in 3:51.82. Blue Tide's Jordan Jones (3:54.52) and Curl Burke's Bradley Phillips (3:56.22) completed the top three.
West Coast's Cynthia Fascella, Allison Gillespie, Shelby Webber and Cindy Tran captured the women's 400 free relay in 3:22.02, while Arkansas Dolphins Nicholas McCarthy, Eric Zheng, Samuel Olson and Kevin Wilmoth claimed the men's 400 free relay in 3:07.89.
