NCAA Women’s Division I Championships: N.C. State’s Kristen Davies Secures Program’s First National Title With Platform Win

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 21. N.C. State's Kristen Davies gave her program its first NCAA title in the history of the women's championship meet when she won the tower this evening.
Davies collected 339.65 points for the historic win, while 2007 NCAA champion Jessica Livingston of Texas placed second with 321.50 points. Texas' Shelby Cullinan secured some major points for the Longhorns with a third-place 310.70 tally.
With the major team title players not gaining any diving points, California remained in the lead with 371.5 points, while Georgia held second with 370.5 points. Arizona has an outside chance to defend its title with a third-place 363. Stanford held fourth with 278.5 points, while Texas' dominant platform output moved it up to fifth with 275 points.
