Nathan Adrian Lowers Fred Bousquet’s 50 Free U.S. Open Record

USA’s Nathan Adrian picked up the men’s 50-meter freestyle victory at the 2015 Duel in the Pool to down the U.S. Open record.
Adrian hit the wall in 20.95 as he became the first man under 21 seconds on U.S. soil. He broke the U.S. Open mark of 21.10 set by Fred Bousquet back in 2004.
Euro’s Vlad Morozov took second in 21.09, also under the previous U.S. Open mark, while USA’s Josh Schneider earned third in 21.10 to equal the former mark.
USA’s Michael Chadwick (21.16), Euro’s Marco Orsi took fourth and fifth.
