Leah Smith Breaks 400 Free Pool Record At 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Charlotte

Women’s 400 Free:
Leah Smith charged to another win at Charlotte in the women’s 400 free stopping the clock at a 4:05.21. Smith’s time reset the pool record and sits just off her 2016 best of 2:04.74 from the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Series. The former pool record was set in 2012 by Allison Schmitt at a 4:05.40.
Lindsay Vrooman cranked out a second place finish of 4:07.71, while Gillian Ryan claimed third with a 4:10.33.
Rose Bi grabbed fourth with a 4:11.62, ahead of Alex Norris’ fifth place finish of 4:15.06.
Kiera Janzen (4:16.08), Kristel Kobrich (4:14.40), and Lindsey Clary (4:23.95) wrapped up the top eight.
