The New York University women’s program, coming off a runnerup finish in the team standings at the NCAA Division III Championships, is getting a boost in the distance department. Harper “Malin” Wolfson, a member of the Class of 2026 at the Denver School of the Arts, has committed to NYU. Wolfson is a three-time Futures qualifier in distance events and will provide an immediate impact when she steps foot on campus.
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at New York University!,” Wolfson said in a social media post. “Thank you so much to my family, close friends, coaches, and everyone else who’s supported me throughout this journey. Special thanks to Coach Miele for this amazing opportunity. Go Violets!”
Wolfson will arrive at NYU prepared to help the program continue its national-level success. She has been 5:00.90 in the 500-yard freestyle, 17:08.57 in the 1650 freestyle and 4:28.62 in the 400 individual medley.
The student-body president of her class, Wolfson is a creative writing major and is a co-chair of the Denver Public Schools Semantics Program.
