The second day of Ivy Swimming and Diving Championships began with preliminaries at Brown University.
The morning races began with the 400-yard individual medley. Princeton’s Corey Okubo touched first with a time of 3:44.59. Pennsylvania’s Mark Andrew was second and Princeton’s Samuel Smiddy was third.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Harvard’s Max Yakubovich touched first in 46.63. He was followed by Princeton’s Ben Schafer and Harvard’s Steven Tan.
Pennsylvania’s Eric Schultz posted the morning’s top time in the 200-yard freestyle, touching in 1:35.76. Princeton’s Teo D’Alessandro and Julian Mackrel were second and third.
Byron Sanborn of Princeton touched first in the 100-yard breaststroke. He was followed by Harvard’s Shane McNamara and Pennsylvania’s Colin McHugh.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Princeton’s En-Wei Hu-Van Wright finished first in the heats. He touched in 47.17. His teammate Andrew Helber was second and Pennsylvania’s Cj Schaffer was third.
Finals begin at 6 p.m.
