Buffalo, Missouri State Win Relays On Night One Of MAC Championships
The 2017 MAC Men’s Championships began today at Southern Illinois University. Today’s action saw the 200 medley and 800 free relays.

Buffalo began the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. The team of Hudson Carroll (22.40), Itai De La Vega (23.91), Mason Miller (20.54), and Eric Jensen (20.03) stopped the clock in 1:26.88. They were just off the meet record.
Southern Illinois’ Alex Crawford (23.02), Bobby Wood (24.21), Joao Facciotti (21.00), and Andre Luiz Brilhante (19.28) took second in 1:27.51 and Missouri State’s Jake Schultz (22.84), Phillip Willett (24.53), Artur Osvath (21.15), and Samuel Senn (19.78) finished third in 1:28.30.
Missouri State dominated the 800 free relay, winning by just over seven seconds. The team of Michael Mollak (1:36.64), Kacper Cwiek (1:35.49), Osvath (1:38.42), and Will Brand (1:36.43) won in 6:26.98.
Eastern Michigan’s Jake Tyson (1:37.14), JF Murphy (1:40.07), Alexander Arrieta (1:39.48), and Logan Burton (1:37.34) finished second in 6:34.03 and Buffalo’s Jensen (1:39.97), Martin Leigh (1:37.63), Scott Huang (1:38.82), Reid Zyniecki (1:38.27) took third in 6:34.69.
