Brynn Lavigueur Is Latest Texas Verbal Pledge For 2026
NEW COMMIT: The University of Texas has gained another valuable addition to its Class of 2026 after earning a verbal pledge from Brynn Lavigueur of Sarasota, Florida.
She will join Mena Boardman, Avery Klamforth and Sydney Shoeck in Austin as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2030.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am extremely grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Texas. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to my family for their sacrifices, and to my coaches and teammates for their constant support. A special thank you to Coach Carol, Mitch and Chad for this incredible opportunity. This is truly a dream come true! HOOK EM’ BABY”
Lavigueur does her club swimming with Sarasota Sharks and earned silver in the 100m back this past summer at Huntsville Futures, where she also took fourth in the 50m free and fifth in the 100m free. She was the runner-up in both backstroke events at Southern Zone Seniors last spring before going on to win the 200 free at Florida Seniors.
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 53.41
- 200 free – 1:47.76
- 100 free – 49.89
- 50 free – 23.05
- 200 back – 1:57.82
- 200 IM – 2:02.77
Currently a junior at Riverview High School, Lavigueur earned silver in the 100 back and bronze in the 200 IM at the 2023 Florida 4A State Championships.
Lavigueur grew up in Maine before moving to Florida in 2023. She won the 50 free and 100 back at the Maine Class B State Championships as a freshman in high school.
The Longhorns, who now compete in the Southeastern Conference, have finished second at the NCAA Championships the past three seasons.
