The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) announced today it is officially taking over the management and operation of the longstanding and popular Central States and Eastern States Swim Clinics as well as the International Swimming Hall of Fame Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale effective in 2025. These clinics, renowned for their high caliber coach speakers and overall contributions to the professional development of swim coaches and athletes for more than four decades, will now be under ASCA’s expert guidance and leadership in partnership with the legendary Coach Mark Schubert.

The 44th Central States Swim Clinic, set for April 25-27, 2025, at the Hilton Oak Brook Hills Conference Center in Chicago, Illinois, will feature a star-studded line up of Russell Mark, David Marsh, Brent Arckey, Herbie Behm, Rachel Stratton-Mills, Dr. Zac  Hojnacki and Jozsef Nagy.  The athlete portion will feature Olympians Cullen Jones and Breeja Larsen.  Athletes will split their time between pool sessions at the FMC Natatorium and classroom sessions at the hotel.

Registration and detailed information for the Central States Swim Clinic is now available at www.swimmingcoach.org/clinicsSpecial early bird pricing runs through February 19, 2025.

The 49th Eastern States Swim Clinic is slated for September 19-21, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza in King of Prussia, PA.  More information and registration will be posted soon.

The relatively new Fort Lauderdale Swim Clinic in association with the International Swimming Hall of Fame is expected to be held in the Fall of 2025.

These clinics will continue their legacy of providing cutting-edge coaching techniques, training methodologies, and networking opportunities for swimming coaches, athletes and swimming related businesses.  Exhibitors will continue to be welcome to host booths to share their innovative products and services with attendees.

ASCA’s assumption of these clinics marks a significant step forward in its mission to elevate the sport of swimming through education and professional development. By integrating these clinics into their portfolio of educational programs, ASCA aims to expand their reach, enhance its curriculum, and deliver unparalleled value to attendees.

“The Central States and Eastern States Swim Clinics have long been pillars of professional growth for swim coaches and athletes. ASCA is honored to carry forward their tradition while adding the organizational and educational excellence that ASCA is known for,” said Jennifer LaMont, Chief Executive Officer of ASCA. “We are committed to ensuring these events continue to inspire and empower the swimming community for years to come.”

ASCA Certification Credit: Coaches who attend these clinics will earn ASCA educational credits (ACE) which can be applied to ASCA certification requirements. ASCA’s Level 2 Stroke School taught by Russell Mark will be offered at each clinic as well.
