Women’s 400 IM:
Brooke Forde of Lakeside Aquatics jumped to an early lead in finals of the women’s 400 individual medley and never once looked back. Forde led by 3/4 of the pool by the time she turned from the breaststroke to freestyle leg, ending the race with a time of 4:02.51. That time stands as a new Junior Nationals Championship record.
Carmel Swim Club’s Samantha Burchill picked up second with a time of 4:11.16, just ahead of teammate Kelly Pash and her third place finish of 4:11.66.
Madison Homovich of Marlins of Raleigh slipped to fourth with a final time of 4:11.84, while SwimMAC’s Julia Menkhaus took home fifth with a 4:12.66.
Nashville Aquatic Club’s Ella Nelson (4:12.91), Tampa Bay’s Christin Rockway (4:14.08), and Marlins of Raleigh’s Kathleen Moore (4:16.32) finished sixth through eighth respectively.
Men’s 400 IM:
Penn Charter’s Reece Whitley held off the competition in finals of the men’s 400 individual medley. Whitley, best known for his breaststroke abilities, posted a first place finish of 3:47.15 to earn the gold.
Carson Foster of the Mason Manta Rays moved up from a sixth place seed to claim silver in the event with a final time of 3:48.09. Foster improved upon his prelims time of 3:51.94 by 3.85 seconds.
Ridgefield Aquatics’ Kieran Smith grabbed the bronze medal with a time of 3:49.19, followed closely by Red Bank YMCA’s Christopher Smith’s 3:49.27.
Talmadge Davis of Team Greenville finished fifth overall with a 3:49.91, while Gulliver Swim Club’s Miguel Cancel picked up a sixth place finish of 3:51.68.
Dynamo’s Jeffrey Durmer and Blue Dolfins’ John Fulginiti were seventh and eighth respectively with times of 3:51.94 and 3:54.47.
Women’s 100 Fly:
Isabel Ivey of Gator Swim Club grabbed a narrow victory over Olivia Carter in the final of the women’s 100 fly. Ivey stopped the clock a slim .04 seconds ahead of Carter with a final time of 52.61. Carter finished second with a time of 52.65.
Pine Crest’s Jessica Nava finished third with a time of 52.91 to earn the bronze medal.
Tristen Ulett of Dynamo Swim Club took fourth with a 53.14, followed by Gator Swim Club’s Talia Bates and her time of 53.37.
Carmel’s Gertrude Rothrock (53.74), Blue Ash YMCA’s Megan Glass, and Alessandra Balder (54.38) rounded out the top eight.
Men’s 100 Fly:
Camden Murphy of Kingfish Aquatics blasted to the top of the podium in finals of the men’s 100 fly. Murphy, originally seeded fourth after prelims, posted a final time of 46.84 to finish just ahead of top seed Noah Lense of Ohio State. Lense grabbed second with a time of 46.91.
Nicolas Albiero of Cardinal Aquatics picked up the bronze medal with a final time of 47.15, while fourth went to Bolles’ Ariel Spektor and his time of 47.39.
Michigan Lakeshore’s Spencer Carl was fifth overall with a 47.61, followed by Bolles’ Willie Davis’ 47.85.
Corey Gambardella of Soundview YMCA and Cody Bybee of the Dayton Raiders tied for seventh with matching times of 48.58.
Women’s 200 Free:
After a short break Isabel Ivey of Gator Swim Club returned to the pool and earned her second gold medal of the day. Ivey stopped the clock at a 1:43.64 to finish a decisive first.
Greater Tampa’s Morgan Tankersley earned the silver medal with a time of 1:44.39, while Lakeside’s Brooke Forde added a bronze medal to her collection with a final time of 1:45.68.
Emma Nordin of Carmel took fourth overall with a time of 1:46.47, followed closely by teammate Kelly Pash’s 1:46.67.
Excel’s Riley Gaines (1:47.29), SwimAtlanta’s Emma Alexander (1:47.61), and Mason Manta Rays’ Hannah Foster completed the top eight.
Men’s 200 Free:
Carmel’s Drew Kibler and SwimMAC’s John Walker held a tight race throughout the eight lengths of the men’s 200 free, finishing 1-2 with a slim .33 seconds separating their final times. Kibler blasted up from his eighth place seed to finish first with a time of 1:33.40, while Walker posted a second place finish of 1:33.73.
Countryside YMCA’s Grant House picked up the bronze medal with a time of 1:35.27, followed by Michigan Lakeshore’s Spencer Carl’s 1:36.31.
Parker Neri of Upper Arlington grabbed fifth overall with a time of 1:36.46, just ahead of Upper Dublin’s Jake Sannem and his time of 1:37.02.
Dayton Raiders’ Cody Bybee and Cincinnati Marlin’s Justin Grender finished seventh and eighth with times of 1:37.34 and 1:38.59 respectively.
Women’s 100 Breaststroke:
National Aquatic Club’s Alexandra Walsh set a new USA Junior Nationals East Record with a time of 58.80 to win the championship finals in the 100 breaststroke. Emil Weiss finished second with a time of 1:00.34 and Allison Raab was a close third finishing with a time of 1:00.63

Men’s 100 Breaststroke:
Reece Whitley from Penn Charter split a 25.00 going out and came back in a 27.95 to take first place with a time of 52.95 in the A Final of the men’s 200 Breaststroke. James Daugherty from the Bolles School dropped time from prelims to take second with a time of 54.27 followed closely by Jason Mathews with a time of 54.54.

Women’s 100 Backstroke:
With impressive back to back swims, Alexandra Walsh from Nashville Aquatic Club jumped out of the pool after winning the 100 breaststroke to capture first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.32. Julia Menkhaus from SwimMAC Carolina took second with a time of 52.64 followed by Madeline Cohen from SwimAtlanta who finished with a time of 53.21.

Men’s 100 Backstroke:
Zachary Poti is the only one to break 48 with a 47.74 to win the Men’s 100 Back and stand atop the podium. Nicolas Albiero from Cardinal Aquatics touched in with a 48.03 followed by Clark Beach of Quest Swimming in a time of 48.13.
