The seventh episode of To Beijing and Back goes on a tour of the Hutong Historic District of Beijing. Host Brent Rutemiller starts the tour on rickshaw, guiding viewers past old homes and centers where ping pong is played. But the biggest surprise is a tour of a Chinese home, where grapes and pomegranates grow on vines in the courtyard and the smell of jasmine fills the air. Most of the time is spent in a living room just off the courtyard, because it is coolest in the summer and warmest in the winter there, thanks to the construction of the room. Three generations of the Wu family live in this home.
